The Battle is Over

For those subscribed to Forge World emails this isn't new information but for those that aren't this will be pretty awesome. Remember my post detailing the two Primarchs competing for the Games Day spot? And remember my more recent post about Kor Phaeron and Erebus? Well it turns out that not only will the two Word Bearers be turning up but so will... Ferrus Manus. 

Here's what the email said:

The Primarch of the Iron Hands Legion was a figure of legend amongst the peoples of his home world of Medusa, named by them ‘the Gorgon’ after the most ancient of mythic creatures. Ferrus was amongst the strongest of the Primarchs, reflected in this giant figure, dwarfing many of his brother Primarchs.

Forge World will be attending UK Games Day, held on Sunday 29th September at the NIA in Birmingham, and Ferrus Manus, the latest model in our Horus Heresy Character series, will be available to purchase on the day. As part of our Games Day UK previews, we have a feature on the Forge World Visual Feed about the Primarch of the Iron Hands Legion. In our latest video, designer Simon Egan talks about how he created the model of the Gorgon and how it can be incorporated with Fulgrim to form a stunning diorama.

Considering that I thought there wasn't going to be a Primarch at Games Day at all, I'm now entertaining the possibility that there might be both Primarchs there but I'm aware that that might be a pipe dream. The rumours were true though and Ferrus does indeed fit with Fulgrim to recreate the battle between them in which he dies. I have to say I like the way they contrast with each other with one being shiny and elegant while the other is brutish and very mechanical in appearance. I usually don't like being wrong and as much as I wish Mortarion had been released I'm glad that Forge World proved me wrong this time.
